Machinery & Manufacturing Line Relocations
Relocating heavy machines or a production line requires
a unique core of dedicated professional operatives, this
equipment is the life blood of the business and when its
out of action the prolonged effect can be devastating to
any business.
Johnsons teams of both in-house and specialist sub-contractors
have the capabilities to minimise the relocation process,
specialist decommissioning engineers are usually required
to prepare the effects to be relocated, this may include
CNC back up tapes, dismantling and unbolting of the equipment.
Once the equipment has been relocated it may require calibration,
all the facets of the relocation can be controlled as part
of Johnsons remit.
Johnsons teams work closely with these engineers to dovetail
a precise relocation schedule to include all services and
foundations, all relocated machinery is levelled to the required
tolerances.
Additionally we are also able to provide lift and load calculations
along with sign off certification for all works undertaken.
With a new environment comes new services to accommodate
the relocation, Johnsons Business Moves are available to
advise accordingly on all services including pipeworks, ducting,
electrical, mechanical and civil requirements.
Warehouse & Stock Relocations
When relocating a warehouse there are 3 main considerations
prior to the physical movement.
What needs to be transferred (Quantities and Types)
Where it
is to be transferred from & to (from which
bay areas to which new bay areas)
How will we access our stock during the relocation phases.
Our team of experts will undertake detailed briefings from
your management team, this can include the undertaking of
a stock count as all stores effects are being loaded and
unloaded at each address.
We have available a number of specialist moving vessels
to allow a diverse range of effects to be safely and securely
packed into, referenced and then transported to the new destinations.
On arrival all effects are counted off and placed into the
required bay areas.
The counting and referencing of the stock allows it to be
tracked during the relocation periods, this also has the
added advantage that should customers require stock parts
during the process they can easily be identified as to where
they are at anytime of the move period.
Plant and Equipment
Relocating, removing or reconfiguring any commercial equipment
can sometimes require the use of specialist plant or lifting
gear.
Johnsons Business Moves have a variety of specialist lifting
and moving equipment in-house, in addition, we also have
access to a number of quality suppliers of plant and cranes,
these are available on a hourly, daily or weekly hire basis.
If any specialist equipment is required to undertake a clients
scope of works, then these are included with any quotation
we provide.
Controlling Sub-Contractors
Involved with any relocation requirement there are likely
to be a number of tasks of which the client either has the
capabilities in-house or already has a preferred sub-contractor
to undertake these tasks.
If required, Johnsons Business Moves can encompass the management
of a number of third party contractors within our main scope
of works.
